Mr. Md. Shafiullah retired as a senior secretary to the government of Bangladesh. He studied Economics at the University of Dhaka and is engaged in social and economic research and advocacy. He received his Master's in Business Administration (TQM) from the University of Ljubljana. He worked in different capacities in the line ministries and field administration, including the Ministry of Public Administration, Finance Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industries, and Ministry of Education. He led the College Wing at the Ministry of Education. He also served in the Bangladesh Mission in Indonesia and assumed the role of the Charged affaires. Previously, he worked as an adjunct faculty member at different universities.
Outside the ministries, he was a member of the Administrative Appeal Tribunal. He also worked at the Anti-Corruption Commission as a director and at the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
