Dr Farjana is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Islamic Studies, University of Dhaka. She graduated from the University of Dhaka and received PhD from the same university. Her research broadly focuses on studying the influences of Islam on people's daily lives. She contributes to social and gender issues from an Islamic point of view. Before becoming a university faculty, she served in a commercial bank. She published a good number of articles in peer-reviewed journals.
